Meet Arnold Chan

Arnold Chan is the Liberal Member of Parliament for Scarborough-Agincourt. Arnold was first elected in the summer of 2014. He was then re-elected in October 2015 under a majority Liberal government. Shortly after, he was appointed as Deputy Government House Leader by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Arnold grew up in Scarborough-Agincourt and attended both Henry Kelsey, and Sir Ernest MacMillan Senior Public Schools, and later Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute. He studied at both the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia and has earned both a law degree and two masters degrees in Political Science and Urban Planning.

Before running for office, Arnold worked in both the public and private sectors as a lawyer, political aide and a senior corporate manager. Arnold was also was active in the community as the co-chair of his children’s school council, and a leader of a local chapter of a national youth organization.

Arnold lives in Toronto with his wife Jean and their three sons.
